Free Doo Wop, GANG, Art, Philly FM Fest & Popped!
Don’t forget that Saturday is the annual doo wop festival at Penn’s Landing – six hours of free, old-time music that has roots here in Philadelphia.
We wrote about Philly’s doo wop roots in the fall issue of JUMP. Check out that story here.

Also on Saturday, GANG (along with Hank & Cupcakes) will officially open Milkboy Philly, at 11th and Chestnut streets.
We wrote about the new Milkboy in the fall issue of JUMP, and we profiled GANG (at right) in the summer issue.
By the way, Vox Populi, the art gallery on 11th Street, will have three nights of performances in their new space (pictured in the bottom image), AUX, starting on Tuesday. Experimental artist Joke Lanz plays Tuesday; saxophonist John Butcher and Thomas Lehn play Wednesday; electronic musicians John Bischoff and Mark Trayle wrap up the series on Thursday.
