Nude Beach: Vacationer’s New Party @ Underground Arts.
The guys from Vacationer threw a party, dubbed Nude Beach, at Underground Arts Saturday and it was really, really fun. There was a volleyball net, lots of free rum and cheap beers, Hawaiian leis, beach balls and a world of good music.
Cruiser opened the show in the jam-packed, cavernous space. LA based solo artist Robert Delong followed with a performance in which he played the keys, banged drums and dished out dubstep/electro/experimental sounds. After his set, bikini-clad servers offered free Sailor Jerry rum to the masses.
Then Vacationer took the stage and the smooth, chillwave music had everyone dancing and thinking of warmer days. Beach balls dropped from the ceiling onto the boisterous crowd. And after the live band played their set, frontman Kenny Vasoli manned the turntables as everyone kept dancing, even on the stage.
Vacationer is touring in March but the plan is for this Nude Beach event to become a regular thing. Be sure not to miss the next one.
