Check out the new video from Nicos Gun, whom we profiled in the summer issue of JUMP.
The guys are playing a free show at the Piazza at Schmidt’s on Wednesday, August 24 (somewhere between 6 and 9).
They’ll also be a part of the Philly FM Fest‘s Sunday BBQ at the Ukie club on September 25. The line-up for the outdoor event is awesome, including Reading Rainbow, Good Old War, The Head and the Heart, Toy Soldiers and many, many more. Tickets for that show are available here.

We’re featuring the 9-piece, make-you-dance Philly ensemble Black Landlord in the fall issue of JUMP, which officially drops on September 6 (though we’ll begin distributing on September 2). That’s them above, outside The Abbaye, where half of the band has worked at some point, right before the JUMP photo shoot last weekend.
On September 24, Black Landlord will be playing the totally stacked Popped! Music Festival at FDR Park.

One of These Women is a Prominent Public Official Now.
The lovely ladies you see here were members of the famed local dance troupe Philadanco in 1977.
We received the image from the second woman from the right, who is now a prominent public official in the city of Philadelphia.We spoke to her for the fall issue of JUMP, which officially hits the streets on September 6.

Summer Jam: Work Drugs’ Ode to Adele.
Check out Work Drugs‘ new video – an ode to pop sensation Adele and her hit “Rolling in the deep.” The footage comes from Work Drugs’ tour out West with Two Door Cinema. They traveled about 8,000 miles.

We just received this wicked cool poster promoting the Philly Film + Music Festival, which takes place in Philly on September 22 through the 25.
The list of performers is pretty amazing: The Descendents, Deadmau5, X, Opeth, The Friggs and many, many more. On the line-up are a bunch of Philly bands including Reading Rainbow, Nicos Gun, Turning violet Violet, Hezekiah Jones, Hoots and Hellmouth, Creeping Weeds, Steve Goldberg and the Arch Enemies, Goold Old War and many more.

Here’s a sneak preview of what you’ll find in the fall issue of JUMP: we spent time with Patty Crash, the genre-bending Iceland native who has performed alongside Gym Class Heroes and The Roots, among others.
